dirt tan

When a person, usually a man, looks like he has a nice tan from being out in the sun all day. When in actuality it's just dirt. Usually seen on mechanics, truck drivers, racecar drivers, roofers, and a lot of guys that live in Florida.

When I saw that cute mechanic I thought, "wow, he's got a nice warm glow to him!", but he got closer and I saw it was just a "dirt tan".

To be so dirty that it appears as though you have a tan. Also known as crust-tan.

His hands had a week long dirt tan.
