The club is the third in Spain in number of members (65,000) and pep rallies, the famous peñas (700). A survey conducted in May 2007 by the Centro de Investigaciones Sociology (CIS) has appointed Valencia as the third most popular club in Spain (5.3%), behind only such giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. It's the world's best team and its fans are known as Los Ches.
