Darwin Award

The Darwin Award is a fictional award which is given out to people who commit acts of utter stupidity that often involve their own injury or even death. The name is derived from Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution (survival of the fittest), since the winners of the Darwin award aren't expected to survive long enough or remain capable of propagating their own hereditary stupidity. Some people attempt to win the Darwin award, however this is risky since if you don't get first place, you're just a dumbass with nothing to show for it but a hefty hospital bill and possibly funeral costs.

Dumbass: Dude, Steve just got sent to the hospital with third-degree burns after we tried to play Hot potato with a molotov cocktail, and I was wondering if you could-
Smartass: What, nominate you two for the Darwin award?
Dumbass: No, I was wondering if you wanted to play while he's in the hospital.

the darwin award is given to people usely postumesly for dying from an act of stupidity they created themselve..these acts are ether horendisly stupid or severly beyond common sense..it can not be a common act..it must be a one and only type of an herendous act of stupidity...most of these awards have been given out in the new york city area in the united states of america...what does that tell you?

i swear ive never heard of a person dying in such a stupid manor...he deserves the darwin award for that one

Darwin Award

An award awarded to a person who does humanity a favor by removing himself from the gene pool by losing the ability to reproduce either by death or sterilization in a stupid fashion. This ensures their hereditary mental incompetence cannot be passed on to future generations, thus bettering the human race. However easy it is to obtain the award, one can be disqualified for a number of reasons, including insanity. This I don't understand, as insanity is considered undesirable in the gene pool as well.

How pathetic do you have to be to get disqualified for a Darwin Award?
