term for Hispanic people that are, more often than not, illegal immigrants living in the United States.

Since they are illegal immigrants, they don't have a social security number, which prevents them from signing up for any phone plan that requires one. All major phone carriers require a social security number unless you use a prepaid plan instead. This makes Boost Mobile a #1 choice for Hispanic people. Boost Mobiles also do not speak any English, if they do, they known enough to ask for a boost mobile plan, to let everyone know they can't speak it.
