Far from us. Exclamation used by Sephardim to ward off misfortune. It is equivalent to the Ashkenazi phrase “Lo alenu” (Not on us). It is very often used by Persians in the Great Neck Jewish community.

Blarmey

Blarmey: (adjective) combination of blarney and smarmy, used to describe a person who considers himself silver-tongued and compelling, but in reality oozes charm in the same way a slug or a festering pustule might. Probably developed this trait from kissing the Blarney Stone after the tour guides surreptitiously pissed on it.

(verb) An imperative pun used to call someone out on this trait.

1. “Ugh, that guy trying to bend my ear about his band is just so blarmey!”

2. “I’m not falling for your bullshit! So why don’t you just blarmey?”

Barmp

"Barmp" is a a Newfoundland term which is synonymous with "(to) honk your horn" and any other such variations of the word. Often times, however, the word is associated with being angry, so you may only "barmp your horn," if you were experiencing a bout of road rage.
