This refers to the sex scandal involving members of celtic boys club who are apart of celtic football club. Jock Stein knew about the child abuse going within the boys club, specifically youth coach Jim Torbett who raped players such as Alan Brazil. Jock Stein knew about this however he never went to the police, instead he covered the scandal up.

Saying popularised in Glaswegian football, in particular by Old Firm fans. This saying refers to the ex-manager of Celtic Football Club Jock Stein. In the early 1970s, young boys were abused by a youth coach at the club called James Torbett. Stein aka Big Jock is reputeded to have known about this and not reported the matter to the authorities, and also been part of a cover up within Celtic Football Club.

Hence the saying "Big Jock Knew".
Celtic fan : "Ya F***ing hun basturt!"

Saying/song usually heard at Old Firm games. Refers to ex-celtic manager Jock Stein who is alleged to have previous knowledge about sex abuse at the celtic boys club during the 1970's involving the youth coach James Torbett. He was also accused of having taken part in a cover up at celtic Football Club. The saying can often be heard at football games involving celtic FC.
Commentator: 'And Rangers scores again! Oh, what a crushing defeat for Celtic...'
