This word has two possible meanings that evolved independence of each other.

1. Bubble trapped in the glass during the manufacturing process. Sometimes a large amount of bews is inserted intentionally for aesthetic purposes.

2. Endearment term; pet name used when referring to one's significant other.

1. Let's get the glasses with lots of bews, I think they're so cute!
