Beatnix

Beatnix is a retro style coffee shop/deli in Midtown Oklahoma City, OK where espresso is cool and the food is hip. Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwiches are regular fare. Started in Feburary 2008 by dad and daughter, daughter Rachel had the inspiration for the name as she personally identified with the "Beanik Generation". The Beatnix Cafe is a place where everyone is welcome and usually everybody knows your name.

The most amazing, kindest, awesome friend on earth. She's an excellent friend and very patient. She will be there for you every time when you need her and she never lets you down. She's one of the mot incredible person on earth and never let her go. Don't ever mess with her. If you do, her besties (especially Jessilyn and Isabel), will hunt you down and kick your gut. beatnik

A member of the Beat Generation (late 50's - early 60's), a nonconformist in dress and thought. Often reknowned for wearing black turtleneck sweaters, stove-pipe trousers, dark glasses and berets. They used to hang out at coffee shops where they would recite poetry (sometimes accompanied by bongo drums), and talk about jazz or the people/society/regimes that are oppressing them and trying to make them conform.
