A small dog that is generally carried under the arm of its owner rather than left to move on its own. Often ubiquitous among young female celebrities and influencers.

These dogs generally live charmed lives and often sport designer accessories.

Example breeds include, teacup dogs, Pomeranians, chihuahuas, dachshunds, Yorkshire terriers, etc.

Examples in popular culture, Paris Hilton who is often seen carrying a chihuahua in her armpit.

Also known as “purse pups”.

Paris Hilton’s elbows must really hurt at the end of the day. She’s always carrying an armpit dog.
