anger bridge

A figure of speech to describe someone being angry as being in a place other than just feeling anger.
"Man, my girlfriend won't let me leave this party. This party blows. I want to leave."

"Dude, you're just on the anger bridge. You need to come back to the friendship shore and have another beer."
