really cool media player. for one thing, it has all sorts of nice obscure plugins that play all my favorite old song formats (i.e., .sid, .gym) from, like, the c64 and the sega genesis.

A good and flexible program for playing sound files and videos. However, it has been known to cause the computer to freeze, or have a greater chance of freezing, which is why I don't use it anymore.

An increasingly obsolete MP3 player for Windows based machines. Although very customizable, the program's organization and compatibility with certain files is less than perfect. Therefore, many one-time users have now switched to iTunes, a free and incredibly well-designed player released by Apple Corp.
I used to use WinAmp, but now that iTunes is out, I deleted WinAmp from my computer.
