A term people use when they can not identify ethnic features on light skinned POC because they perceive POC in stereotypes. When a POC does not fit into those stereotypes, they are lumped with white people, because the person calling them white passing perceives whiteness as the ‘norm’ or default.
“I am a person of colour, because my father is (even though my mother isn’t). Though my appearance gives me privileges my father doesn’t based off of our appearances.I am a White Passing person of colour”
Used when someone, usually a non-binary AFAB with blue hair and a septum piercing, who is self diagnosed with autism, needs more oppression points, or is trying to win a Facebook argument
“Nice assumptions… I’m actually white passing because my great great great grand mothers cousins great grandfather was from South Africa”
The grindset is a contemporary ideology of self-exploitation disguised as strength, deeply tied to the aesthetics of the “sigma male” and to new digital forms of patriarchy. It promotes the idea that human worth depends on productivity, economic success, absolute emotional control, and the ability to work endlessly, turning vulnerability, rest, community, and tenderness into signs of weakness. Beneath its rhetoric of discipline and power often lies a profound inability to relate healthily to pain, fragility, and human interdependence.
“That’s the grindset, brother. While weak men sleep and complain, sigma males stay disciplined, work in silence, suppress emotions, and build power while everyone else wastes time chasing comfort.”
