The Thumb Syndicate

The Thumb Syndicate is one of the major groups found in the Project Moon world. It's one of the 5 important "Finger" Syndicates. The Thumb is known for it's obedience and respect for their higher ups. You must follow the orders your higher ranking members give you without ever complaining or belittling them. The punishments are rather brutal for those who don't abide by the rules. The Thumb is much more "Aggressive" compared to the other Syndicates, shown multiple time to be trying to take Territory for themselves.

abandonware

n. software that is no longer sold or supported by the original publisher / developer, often found as free downloads on the internet because it cannot be obtained elsewhere. Not legal, but often seen as morally acceptable because the company that made it is no longer selling the title, nor releasing it as freeware, therefore abandonware is "keeping the game alive", so to speak.

Doom II is not abandonware because id still sells it, while The Incredible Machine is not sold, therefore is abandonware.
