The procedure of underthinking everything so royally that you end up having no clue of what is going on or the point of what they were trying to do.

Person 1: Dude, why did he mess up the choreography?
Person 2: I think he was using The Riley Method and underestimated the amount of work. I'm not sure he even knows where he is.
