A portmanteau of technology and antiquity. Techniquity is used to refer to technological antiques, especially those no longer in use or circulation. It can also be applied to periods of time.

The Atari 2600 is a techniquity.

Most of the so-called revolutionary technological inventions of the 1980s would be considered techniquities by today's standards.

Technicity 

A Technicity is a technical ethnicity. Group identification by a brand or social media exclusivity with its own standards and subculture. It extends the old style brand loyalty people once had for cars and appliances to entire lifestyles. The people who choose lifestyle products prefer an entire social environment made up of other users of the same lifestyle products.

It isn't only brands. A technicity can revolve around special interest social media which excludes people of all other interests.

Sometimes the behavior of technical adherents reaches religious levels of dedication, exclusion and criticism.

This is similar to how old school ethnic neighborhoods formed and were maintained. But is based on lifestyles created around technical products.

Have you ever noticed that Apple and Tesla users are kind of a technicity? They're like a cult that prefers to only associate with other users like themselves.

Whoa. The people in that sewing group are a serious technicity.
