Sunday afternoon

The time of the long dark teatime of the soul.
In the end, it was the Sunday afternoons he couldn't cope with, and that terrible listlessness that starts to set in about 2:55, when you know you've taken all the baths that you can usefully take that day, that however hard you stare at any given paragraph in the newspaper you will never actually read it, or use the revolutionary new pruning technique it describes, and that as you stare at the clock the hands will move relentlessly on to four o'clock, and you will enter the long dark teatime of the soul.

Sunday afternoon

The internationally-recognised time to start any homework that has been assigned for one's weekend. This includes (but is not limited to) math problems, lines, essays, papers, presentations, studying for exams, and take-home tests.

Larger projects are usually assigned over a weekend because of the "extra time" it gives students. This is amusing because students do not utilise this extra time, instead choosing to begin work on at the very end of the weekend.

In some cases, Sunday afternoon is better stated as Sunday evening.

Geez, I hate my teacher. Can you believe she assigned us a 10 page paper on Friday? She knows no one's going to start until Sunday afternoon!

The best time of the whole week for sex- there's never anything better to do, yet still you get that same decadant feeling as when skiving on a monday to fuck your lover
Girl: sunday afternoon..man i'm bored
Boy: fancy a shag?
Girl: hell yeah!

Sunday afternoon

Defined by the late Douglas Adams as "The Long, Dark, Teatime of the Soul." A period of time when you know that you should be doing something around the house, but you're too busy thinking about going back to work on Monday.
"I know I should be fixing that squeaky step on the front porch, but I've got a bad case of Sunday Afternoon."

Shackteâu

A Shackteau is a humble, weather-beaten, structurally questionable shelter located in a spectacular or highly coveted place—Wales, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Crested Butte, coastal Maine, the Alps—where the building itself may be worth almost nothing, but the dirt, view, access, and mythology make it absurdly valuable.
In use:
Shackteâu - We thought it was an abandoned shed until the realtor called it a rare alpine Shackteâu with unobstructed views and listed it for $2 million.
