Verb:
Sparefooting is the act of riding an elevator for just one floor. This act becomes even more egregious when the elevator is going downward.
John on the 5th floor: "Man having that smoke sure wore me out."
Mark: "I hear you - let's sparefoot it down to four."
John: "Won't sparefooting make us look lazy?"
Mark: "Only to those people who don't know how hard it is to walk down that flight of stairs."
church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.
This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"
FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"
