I don't know what the person above me is talking about, but a roulette wheel has 36 numbers, plus a zero, and depending where your playing sometimes there is a double zero. 18 of the 36 actual numbers are red, the other 18 are black. zero and double zero are green. players may bet on many different things including:

A "split" which is 2 numbers. .........17 to 1}

6 Pack - 6 number bet .........5 to 1}
Trio - 3 number bet .........11 to 1}

After you place your bet the dealer spins a ball on the roulette wheel. If you hit what you bet you get paid, if you don't you lose your cash.

Example of one spin on a roulette wheel.

John Bet $30 on black, and $20 on 36.
Brandon bet $50 on 2nd twelve.
Steve bet 100$ on red.

Ball spins, hits 36 red.

John loses his black bet, but wins $720 from his 36 bet.
Brandon loses his bet of 2nd twelve.
Steve Wins $200 back from his bet on red. (Including his original $100 that he bet.)

roulette

A game in casino with absolute no scientific way to win consistently and for a long run. Doesn't matter how good your betting system is, as long as roulette has a zero, the Casino is getting at least 2.7% (or 1/37) of money bet by players.

Usually MUCH more because most players don't know anything about betting systems except doubling bets and skipping spins.

Most roulette players are flushing their money down the drain.

Casino game where a ball is thrown onto a spinning horizontal wheel. The wheel has numbers on it 1-32. The numbers are either black or red.


Punters can bet on either the ball landing in the space of a colour (Black or red- 50% chance) or a number (1-32, 3.125% chance). Obviously, returns for betting on a number are mcuh harder. After the process of doubling up had been founded, the wheel was changed to add a 00 number. Should the ball land here (3% chance) Then the house wins and everyone who placed loses their money.

In england there are loads of betting shops in every town and they all have roullete machines(other games are available) usually 4 per shop by law.and in these shops you have people lurking who have already lost all there money in these machines and persist on staying and watching other players loose by standing over them and looking over there shoulder or perched sat on a chair ie the roulette machine skyhawk
