Resident evil 9 requiem is a survival horror/action game released in 2026 for the ps5 and xbox series s/x. Requiem is the 9th mainline resident evil game. In requiem the player plays as a new character fbi analyst grace ashcroft and returning character leon s kennedy. In the game a new t virus outbreak in raccoon city survivors happens while leon is infected himself, grace uncovers an antiviral called elpis the last project of oswell spencer ceo of umbrella. The gameplay changes based on what character you are playing as the segments with grace are in first person and very horror focused and leons sections are in third person and very action focused.
