The Reformed church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. RLDS is an offshoot of the official Mormon church which split off after the death of Joseph Smith.

Brigham young took the official LDS church to Utah where they carried on with their practice of Polygamy until about 1890

The smaller RLDS - along with Joseph Smith's wife - did not approve of Polygamy and has never practised it

not to be confused with FLDS which was a later split - in Utah - of Mormons who wanted to carry on polygamy,y after the 1890 official LDS ban

Mary is RLDS and hates it when people mistake her for one of the fundamentalist polygamous groups

/acronym/ -- Reformed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Splinter group formed after the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) was forced to eliminate PolyGamy as church doctrine. Federal forces were threatened to be used to force a new state constitution if the Church Leaders declined to abolish PolyGamy in the Utah Territories. RLDS members continue to practice PolyGamy in defiance of federally mandated bigamy laws.

Community of Christ (RLDS)

Second largest break-off from the Mormon church, LDS. Community of Christ's original name was Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, RLDS for short. There are churches all over the world, but mostly in the United States. The church headquarters are in Independence, Missouri and the churches college, Graceland University, is in Lamoni, Iowa.
Like the Mormons, Community of Christ studies from The Holy Bible, The Book of Mormon, and The Doctrine and Covenants. The church has its own Prophet.
