Pirate plating

An act of using parts and/or walls that are fastened into place, and then removed for other purposes in surface displacement.

My car was so corroded that we had to use pirate plating just to pass inspection. The only problem is none of my repairs were legit.

An album or song that has been downloaded illegally a number of times that would classify as platinum status if purchased legally.
