Off-Path Attack

A way in which a hacker gains physical and or digital access through the use of social-engineering; as opposed to an On-Path attack where an attacker sits between two devices to intercept communications.
Security was breached by the use of an off-path attack to gain physical access through use of social-engineered persuasion.
