Mother Empathy
The know-it-all who claims to “feel” too much emotion and preaches “walk a mile in my shoes” to anyone and everyone, but bullies people when someone else fails to understand what they preach.
Naomi: I’ll still love you when you tell me what happened today.
Warren: I forgot I was supposed to see you today because I had to take my dog to the vet urgently.
Naomi: How could you be so insensitive to my feelings when I had made the plans specially for you? All you think about is the dog. I felt stood up, hurt and left alone. I think you don’t even like me, I’m a person and if you can’t value me above a dog, I cant see you anymore.
Warren: But I’m sorry, I would have seen you if I wasn’t occupied.
Naomi: We are done.
Warren: *THINKING* So much for honesty... Holy Mother Empathy!
