A maharashtrian is a resident of the Indian state of Maharashtra. The original maharashtrians speak Marathi. They have a great history and culture. They are excellent in all fields especially art, music and literature. They take great pride in their history and are people of high moral character. The new generation of maharashtrians are quite intelligent as well with many maharashtrians now occupying high posts in many various fields of science, technology, cinema etc.
