LS Engine

Any engine belonging to the third or fourth generation small block family from General Motors. All of these are pushrod V8 engines; they come in several displacements, but most commonly 4.8, 5.3, and 6.0 liters.

Very commonly used in engine swaps due to their small form factor (they can fit in a lot of small engine bays), large power potential (respond great to boost and come stock with cylinder heads that flow very well), cheapness (GM and Chevy used these engines in the majority of their trucks, SUVs and some cars for about 20 years), and great aftermarket support.

Hated by those who get beaten by people with LS swaps.
Dave: What's in your car? Sounds nasty.
Jackson: Swapped in a 6.0 LS engine and added a turbo.

Kenny: I hate LS swaps.
John: Why?
Kenny: I got gapped by someone with one and I'm butthurt.

Ls Engine

The most over used swap in car history. People put Ls engines in car when they don’t know how to tune. Their iq is the same as how many cylinders are in the engine, 8. Think American muscle is the best. Beats off to Cletus McFarlin on you tube.
Billy: Oh wow what a clean rx7, what port setting are you running on your 13b?
Chet: Ls Engine bro.

Billy: You must like watching your wife get fucked from the closet. What a cuckold.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
