Lau Shot
(noun)
In Valorant (or similar tactical shooters), a deliberately reckless, flashy, and “clip-worthy” shot attempted with little to no chance of success. The defining feature of a Lau Shot is that it is executed not to win the round, but to intentionally throw it.
A throw that succeeds in its mission of sabotaging the round, thereby costing the team the game, is known as a successful Lau Shot.
Origin: Named after a player (or archetype of player) notorious for prioritizing style and meme potential over actual victory.
