jack ass of all trades

a person who thinks he knows it all and is not swayed by the facts.
Regardless of the truth, Larry is a jack ass of all trades.

Jack of All Asses

A person who has the ability to piss off anyone at any time, and anywhere. Typically, these people are unpleasant to be around due to the sheer amount of ignorance they emit, or lack of caring while being an asshole. They never fail to make someone's day more unpleasant than what it would, or not, have been. Atop of this, they also seem to be capable of this in more than one way and rather effortlessly, hence the name "Jack of All Asses.".
Person 1: "Man, I can't believe how triggered people were at the funeral. All I said was "I'm pretty sure this guy owes me 5 bucks."

Person 2: "Wow, you really are a Jack of All Asses aren't you?"

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
According to the boffins downstairs, the murderer used a serrated blade.
