Or spreads easily refutable rumors about someone, but to people important to that person first as to cause damage.
Mallory is such a hypofritz, telling all Alice's teachers and parents she is promiscuous. Bob took her on a date last week and he said she was a virgin, but made a 9 sex jokes in the last 30 days. Shame she lost all those scholarships eh?
