Hopeless lover is when someone who is hopeless in love. Someone who can't find love but when they get in a relationship it goes downhill because of the way that someone feels all the time.

Say you are looking for love....you think you find it but that person ends up breaking your heart. You end up going through those motions over and over again.
The next time you are in a relationship you are hopeless in it because of your past experiences.
