Hills Moment

A moment where you get into deep conversation with someone (often times someone you haven't talked to in a while, like an old best friend, ex boyfriend/girlfriend, or maybe even a best friend who you need to talk to), and you talk about life, and what has been going on. Often times there are long silences and it feels like there should be a song playing in the background.

Also known as a Laguna Beach Moment.

An example of this is when someone meets up with an old friend they haven't talked to in a while (perhaps at a coffee joint or a restaurant, or even at their apartment) and they meet up and talk about things and maybe even talk about being friends again, that's a Hills moment.

"Yeah, we met up and it was totally a Hills moment."

When a bunch of people are talking, then all of a sudden the conversation stops , and the people start staring around, twisting, or eating thier hair.

Toe Rag

A toe rag was originally a foot wrapping used, since mediaeval times up until the mid-nineteenth century, to protect the foot from chafing by boots or shoes. As these were, quite literally, rags they weren’t usually washed, and so with use they became very smelly until they were thrown away. Because of the similarity in smell, toe rag also became the name applied to dried, salted cod or other things with a strong, unpleasant, fishy smell. It didn’t take that long before the name was applied to someone who was an obnoxious, unpleasant OIC.

Eternity leave

When some resigns or retires from a job, they are on "eternity leave". This can also refer to someone who has passed away, especially someone who worked somewhere for a long time, retired/resigned, then passed away later.

Oh I'm sorry, you didn't know that Kelly is on eternity leave? She resigned and moved to Hawaii!
