Gonaloons

A pair of black four-legged creatures that roam through the woods and occasionally protect homes. They are also scavengers and bring back trophy items to homes they protect.

Don't go too far into the woods; the Gonaloons are out.

Gonaloon

Gonaloon - a black, 4-legged, nocturnal scavenger that brings back trophy items to human homes it protect. They typically travel in pairs and have been known to reincarnate back to their former image upon death.

Etymology: Old English GAN "to go, depart" and LOON from Latin LUNA, "moon"

Don't go too far into the woods; a Gonaloon is out.
