An inactive follower on a social network such as Instagram.

I wish I didn't have so many ghost followersplural on my Instagram.

To follow someone on a social network and unfollow them once they follow you back for the purposes of getting more followers on said social network (Instagram, twitter, etc)

I ghost followed 30 people yesterday and now have 30 more followers.
