Full Cheli
Used to describe an act of either pure bravery, utter stupidity or, should circumstances permit, potentially a bit of both.
Chris Chelios was captain of the Blackhawks and a three-time Norris Trophy winner as the NHL’s best defenseman. Cheli was a Midseason All-Star, an end-of-season All-Star, an International All-Star, even played on a torn ACL for 18 months without complaint or loss of ice time. He also, however, managed to get a DUI while driving an old pickup truck, proving the pendulum swings both ways.
