Is usually produced on a PC/home studio and spread for free on P2P sites. Has no live scene/reason for existence. Qualifies for the worst music on the planet.

Punjabi record labels like to pretend that its bhangra music.

folkhopper 

someone from south asian descent who listens to all the caste daaru based music called Folkhop. However, he or she mistakenly believes it to be bhangra music. In the same way that they accesorize themselves with gold khanda chains etc believing that they are "representin sikhi"

dude 1: hey man, I saw jassi sitting outside int he parking lot at the gurudwara with some folk singer cd in his hand. He got a new bmw, and a khanda sticker in the rearview that said 'jatsdoit"

dude 2: Yea hes a folkhopper, I hear that gay ta pa ta pa beat out of his car all the time. someone needs to set his straight. Why dont he listen to bhangra?
