Initially Pastafarianism was created to protest the Kansas State School Board's decision to teach "Intelligent Design" in schools, one man invented a parody religion, Pastafarianism. Pastafarianists believe the FSM created the world. The FSM and concept of Pastafarianism eventually became an actual religion, one with a bible and church. Unlike what some people may believe, the FSM was not created by atheists to mock the concept of religion.
