Epar Day
National rape day stems from an alleged Tik-Tock video promoting rape on April 24 2021. Epar day or "reverse the rape dialogue" day is a new movement gaining momentum to use the viral sensation to raise awareness.
Epar Day Movement Vission:
"It is inconsequential whether attention seeking trolls started rumors of the video to wreak havoc or misogynistic jackals uploaded the video in hopes of celebrating perversion. Either way we have an opportunity to reverse the dialogue with the momentum of the whole nation. Many are oblivious to the prevalence of sex crimes in our nation. Others mock it jokingly, being numbed by society’s sexualization of women, especially through our music.
Come together and challenge each other to pledge to consent. Raise awareness and advocate for sexual assault victims. Report any post joking about sexual assault but do not fuel their fire of hate with anger. Destroy the Fear. Take back the power. Tell your story."
