Envirocognitive
Adjective describing cognitive processes that are shaped by, dependent on, or distributed across environmental factors. An envirocognitive approach to problem-solving would examine not just the individual's reasoning skills but also the tools, social supports, and physical arrangements that enable or constrain thinking. It contrasts with purely internalist models of cognition. The term is used in fields like human-computer interaction, ecological psychology, and situated learning theory.
Example: "Her envirocognitive analysis of the classroom showed that the arrangement of desks, the availability of whiteboards, and the noise level were not just background factors but integral to how students learned."
