A euphemism regarding a women's all around abilities, or high level of ability, to being able to care for her children and run a household. A highly positive comment describing a stay at home mom who goes above and beyond in those duties, so as to raise children in a loving, warm household, so much so, other kids are jealous of kids who has a mom who is a "Donna Reed" because they are jealous of all the things that this mom does for them. Taken from the show and actress of the same name which was released in September of 1958. The show portrays the every day going ons of a stay at home mom and how she goes above and beyond in her care of home, husband, and children.

My mom is the BEST! She makes me home made chocolate chip cookies everyday for after school, she is such a Donna Reed!
