Inside furniture when used as outside furniture, usually on a porch or patio, sometimes in a garage. Especially couches, but recliners and benches from vans set on a porch can be referred to as The Davenport.

Davenport is an amazing friend who gives the best advice and is always there for you. They love and are amazing at dancing and they are seriously gorgeous inside and out. Their so fun to be around and they give off the most positive vibes. Their some of the prettiest people ever and their smart and funny.

1) The word used, in particular by grandmas and those from the south, to call a large sofa, typically brown and furry. The sofas are "L" shaped and decorated with doilies and cheeto dust. Itchy blankets don the arm rest and occasionally orniry cats emerge from in between the cusions. When used in this sense, it is commonly pronounced "Damport"
