Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is a surgical procedure that creates a new pathway for tears to drain from the lacrimal sac into the nasal cavity.
After experiencing chronic eye infections and a blocked tear duct, the patient underwent a dacryocystorhinostomy to create a new drainage pathway between the lacrimal sac and the nasal cavity.
