crimeposting

Posting about crimes on social media - not about personally doing crimes (see criminalposting), but about witnessing or suspecting crimes have occurred. Usually done by white people complaining about "rising crime rates" in the city neighborhoods they are gentrifying.

I downloaded the Nextdoor app and the only people in it are paranoid white people crimeposting about gangs of teens knocking over their flower pots. I don't even know how that's real, they don't ever see anyone, they just post pictures of their porch and it usually could have been a stray cat, or quite frankly the wind.

The midtown Facebook group is full of boomers crimeposting about homeless people peeing on the sidewalks in front of their houses. At least the videos from their porch cameras are good content. This one guy straight up peed into the basement window.
