A small Suburb in the Bronx with various Idiot children and potheads and seafood restaurants. They usually are found smoking at either of the parks or being dumb on the main strip riding their bikes in the fire lane while smoking or vaping.

home of matt bollati, sarima ali, liz borodkin, angelo labate, a few of my other friends, and a bunch of various potheads. people here do crazy stuff like skateboard off roofs into pools and smoke down at the beach and swim without lifeguards (GASP!). yeah basically it's an isolated suburb where it's safe to go out late at night because the only thing around are drug dealers and seafood restaurants.

A pretentious neighborhood that has received a high amount of gentrification in recent years. The piers at gantry are quite marvelous. The neighborhood lacks the infrastructure of it's neighbors greenpoint, and Astoria, and still has a lot of areas that face urban blight. Vernon boulevard boasts worldclass restaurants yet the largest housing projects can be found a mile away. Gleaming condos cannot hide the urine soaked streets and roaring seven train clatter. Did I mention five points will be removed from the area? The area is for yuppies who have no sense of life. Some old world brownstones hide under the seven train, and the moma ps1 is a great venue though.

An odd pairing of the greatest, biggest, most sophisticated and cosmopolitan city in the world with some backwater, flat, conservative, obnoxious, whitebread, redneck, chickenshit boringass bunghole in the backwoods of Upstate New York. Contrary to Island belief, we New Yorkers do NOT consider Long Islanders to be our brethren.
