Chiwi
An individual that is born and raised in a small town. Lack fundamental education, usually does not have job, has too many poorly raised children, and poor hygiene. A very specific breed of white trash.
A chiwi lives in a house that may have plastic covering broken windows or plywood on places that need repair on existing siding. Person generally lives in colder environments, has multiple non-running vehicles and ATV vehicles in yard although has little to no land.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
