Casey Anthony's hallway

Casey Anthony's hallway is the point in a lie where the liar has created such a specific, detailed, and completely fabricated story that they have no choice but to keep walking toward the inevitable moment when reality catches up with them. Origin: The term was popularized by James Pietragallo and Jimmie Whisman on the Small Town Murder podcast, in reference to Casey Anthony's infamous Universal Studios story.
She told everyone she’d already finished the report. Then she said she was just fixing the formatting. Then she said she was waiting on one number from Accounting. Then Accounting said they’d never heard of her. She was in Casey Anthony's hallway.

Brought to public attention by Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein in the book on the fall of Richard Nixon, All The President’s Men, ratfucker was Nixon’s term for a political operative who sows chaos among opponents; an agent provocateur. It is thought to have originated among campus political rivalries at USC, and seems to have some usage in the US military.
Along with Nixon’s other ratfuckers, Roger Stone caused fights at otherwise peaceful Democratic Party protests to generate a false narrative that the Democrats were violent and dangerous.
