Bougie-beaner

Refers to at least 3rd generation US immigrants, with family roots in Mexico, who are living the middle class American Dream. The phrase has been spotted on bumper stickers in the Texas border region and appears to be an appropriation of the derogatory word ‘beaner’ coupled with the perceived success of the American ‘bougie’ or bourgeois middle class. The bumper stickers also carry a tag line “Bougie Beaner American Proud”
