A dry, desert town in southern New
Mexico with some
crazy weather, a few hoarders, and a shit ton of Baptists. The stars here shine clearly, which makes for splendid astronomic observation- hence why they built an observatory on the mountain. It is near Cloudcroft, Las Cruces, and (sort-of) El Paso. It is said that the only things to do in Alamogordo are to go to church or go to hell. A lot of retirees tend to come here. It's no wonder why you find druggies in the big pipe that runs between Mountain View Middle School and Alamogordo
High School. You'd best get out while you still can. If all else fails, you can join the military. You will not find acceptance or forward mobility here. Sometimes it is hailed as the "Land of Entrapment", as the
police run out of things to do there and will quite often pull you over for no reason. Despite these glaring issues, with a solid foundation and good
people surrounding you, it can be a stable, beautiful (albeit impoverished) home. For the young and ambitious, it isn't a place you should be settling. To devote your life to this place may
mean a
cold, lonely death in the desert. Such is the fate of a humble Alamogordian.
