A term for used for someone who is more than an acquaintance but not quite considered a friend; akin to a buddy or pal.

Acquend

A word for someone who is not a friend but just quite past acquaintance level. Similar to a “buddy” or “pal”, or someone you hang out with occasionally in your greater friend circle.
