Some afro- americans from the South who talk slow, get drunk and probably end up sleeping with their cousins or who grew up poor who hate people who go to college.

A bama is short for meaning...somebody who is probably from a Southern state like Alabama She's a bama or black trash, she likes her own uncle.

Originally, a Bama was a southerner (from Alabama, for instance) trying to blend in up north, but was so obviously country that it didn't work.
Now it's more general and just means something funny-looking, unsophisticated or country as hell.
