An old southern term used by lawyers to express the fact that they are "putting all the pieces together" of an argument. Synonym: Connecting the dots.

A: So, Mr. Feigelson, your testimony that Dylan is a tool is based on, 1) that he doesn't tuck in his shirts, 2) that he uses the term, "ex-squeeze me," and 3) that he always invents facts.

B: Objection your Honor, Mr. Strunk is asking a compound question.

A: Your honor, I'm just "bottling the eggs"

Judge: Go right on ahead Counsel Strunk! You're exactly right! You ARE bottling eggs!
