When an event, action, or outcome that seems to unnecessarily favor the opposing side in a given scenario/situation. Typically, the result of 'Spook Magic' revolves around the idea that whatever the occurrence, it should not have happened and could only be the result of otherworldly intervention or mystical power.

(Playing a video game where the opposing (in this case, Russian) side is winning despite all odds)
